In kindergarten we were told to draw a picture of what we wanted to be when we grew up, and I drew a picture of me with 10 kids.

I never even fathomed that I would be unable to have children. Growing up I didn't know anyone that didn't have kids, and the only person I knew of that had "fertility problems" was my mom, who was told at 15 that she wouldn't have children, ever. I am the oldest of four, two of us being "oopsy babies".

I was on various forms of birth control for a couple of years (I had heard you could stop your period with it, so even though I had no NEED for it, I used it anyways), but then went off all of it in August 2007, after my husband and I had been married for a year. I figured we would have a pregnancy within a year or two. We were young (20) and I had always associated infertility with being old. I had met one lady that had twins via IVF when she was about 20 because she and her husband had fertility issues. That is when I started to get a little worried.

You know, I am going to continue this on my blog, since I am apparently telling my life story... You can check it out on the "My Infertility Story" tab on my blog in like 20 minutes. I mean if you want to. I won't be offended if you don't :)Wife, Then Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13637174631322228369noreply@blogger.com
